Inspection Areas People and vehicles using the BorderTransportationSystem and traveling from or to Mexico need to be stopped and inspected.  The inspections are to verify proper citizenship paperwork, to stop illegal drug and item smuggling, to stop human smuggling, and to stop gun running.  We have 35 border crossings that are already doing this, but with the new BorderTransportationSystem there will be tens of thousands of more travelers along our southern border, and thus we may need to expand facilities in some areas.
